Grant Baldwin
Director/Cinematographer
Grant is an award-winning cinematographer, director, editor and music composer who has a decisive eye for story and a focus on cinematic excellence. He was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for cinematography for his film This Mountain Life, and for Best Factual Series for the recent Search and Rescue: North Shore. His feature documentary Just Eat It (Knowledge Network) broadcast primetime on MSNBC and made the NY Times Critics List for “Top Ten TV Shows of the year”. He is a certified drone specialist whose work can be seen on BBC’s Earth, MSNBC, Knowledge Network, CBC and National Film Board. He was awarded Emerging Canadian Filmmaker at Hot Docs a decade ago, and has since won numerous festival awards as well as multiple Leo’s in the categories of Feature Length Documentary, Cinematography, Direction, and Musical Score.
Jenny Rustemeyer
Producer
Jenny is a writer, creative producer, and line producer. She produced the Canadian Screen Awards nominated series Search and Rescue: North Shore and the Leo Award winning feature documentaries This Mountain Life and Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story, both of which won multiple festival awards, took home multiple Leos, and have been translated into multiple languages for screenings around the world. More recently, her film Subterranean is on the mountain festival circuit and has won five awards. With a passion for impact, Jenny has key-noted around the world in support of the messages behind her documentaries such as The Clean Bin Project. She has coordinated community outreach for many creative film and activist projects, including a 30-city film tour across Canada by bicycle and the first Feeding the 5000 event in Canada.
Silvapark. Our new company name is a nod to where we live and our values as a film production team. “Silva” is a reference to the silver screen and is Latin for forest (the place we first met and where we now live). Parks are some of our favourite places; they’re where we have fun, gather with friends, find balance, and build community. And that’s what we try to do with film too.
